What is the difference between lay-flat and spiral ventilation ducting?
Lay-flat ducting is a flexible duct that flattens when there is no air pressure, which makes it light and easy to transport. Spiral ducting has a steel wire helix that keeps the cross-section open even without pressure and gives it structural stability in operation.
What diameters do you manufacture?
Round and spiral ducts range from 18″ to 60″ in diameter. Oval ducting is made in 24″ to 60″ equivalents, or to custom dimensions for your project. See the size chart.
When should I use oval ventilation ducting?
When headroom in the drift is limited. The oval cross-section reduces the height the duct takes up above equipment and helps the ventilation line coexist with mobile equipment on ramps and crosscuts.
What is the ducting made of?
PVC-coated RipStop polyester technical fabric, 600 g/m², with MSHA-approved, flame-retardant and anti-static options. See the fabric data sheet.
Which coupling systems do you offer?
Australian-style, snap and steel ring couplings. If you are not sure which one suits your line, we will advise you when you request a quote. More on couplings.
Do you make custom ducts and fittings?
Yes. Oval ducting can be made to dimensions tailored to each project, and fittings outside the catalog are built to the diameters and geometry of your system.
What information do you need for a quote?
Ideally the duct type, diameter, approximate total length, coupling type and whether you need MSHA-approved fabric. If you don’t have all of it, send what you have through the quote form and a specialist will contact you.
